It’s not a secret that a sunny day can be nice, but a heat wave or extreme sun exposure can hurt our bodies. Not only can it leave us tired and dehydrated, or thirsty, cause our skin to be irritated, and even increase our risk of developing skin cancer in the future.
To make things worse, recent studies show that climate change is making extreme heat events more common and more intense than ever before. So it’s especially important to take steps to protect ourselves from the heat.
